Are your products handmade?
Yes, each item is handcrafted by skilled Armenian artisans using premium wood and traditional techniques.
Who carves your pieces?
Many of our chess sets and backgammon boards are hand-carved by Hrachya Ohanyan, a master woodcarver working in Yerevan. You can read his story on our Hrachya Ohanyan page.
What materials do you use?
We use high-quality natural wood — walnut, beech, and oak — and premium finishing materials designed for durability and aesthetics.
What sizes do the boards come in?
Backgammon boards range from compact 40–50 cm travel sets to full competition-size 50–60 cm boards; chess sets typically run 30–50 cm. Each product page lists exact dimensions, and custom sizes may be available on request.
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes, selected custom designs may be available upon request — contact us and we'll see what's possible.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free worldwide — every order, no minimum.
How long does delivery take?
We prepare each piece in 1–3 business days, then delivery takes about 5–7 business days to the US and Europe, and 1–2 weeks to Australia and the rest of the world.
How do I track my order?
You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships, with live updates through DHL or FedEx.
Will I pay customs duties or import taxes?
Your order ships from Armenia, so your country may charge import duty or VAT on delivery. These charges are set by your country and aren't included in our prices. If you'd like an estimate before you order, email contact@lionlaurel.com and we'll help.
Will my order arrive safely?
All items are carefully packed with protective materials to ensure safe international delivery.
What is your return policy?
We offer returns or replacements in case of damage or manufacturing issues within 30 days. Orders shipped to the European Union can also be returned within 14 days of delivery for any reason. See our refund policy for details.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay — all through Shopify's secure checkout.
