Wooden Chess & Backgammon Set Classic 19.6" | 50 cm

Wooden Chess & Backgammon Set Classic - Handmade by Hrachya Ohanyan

One board, two games, no arguing over which to play — chess on top, backgammon waiting inside. This is the plainest board in the Hrachya Ohanyan range on purpose: a warm two-tone playing field, a slim engraved coordinate border, and nothing else. National Master Ohanyan builds it from solid beech and finishes it by hand, so both playing fields carry the same clean lines and honest grain.

Open it as a full 19.6" / 50 cm wooden chess set for the long Friday battle, then flip it into a backgammon board when the mood turns faster. A handmade chess backgammon set like this is the board that never leaves the table — someone always wants the other game.

Two Games, One Table

A classic combo board earns its place twice over. Chess evenings stretch long and thoughtful; backgammon nights run loud and quick — and this set hosts both without asking for a second shelf. That is why the chess and backgammon set remains the most practical gift in the game room.

About the Master - Hrachya Ohanyan

In 1985, National Master Ohanyan began his fine wood craft, introducing a new approach to the age-old traditions of woodworking. After many years of dedication, the Hrachya Ohanyan workshop was established in 2010. The workshop creates classic, carved and original models from high-quality raw materials - each set a work of art admired both locally and internationally.

14 Levels, Up to 200 Days

Every chess model passes through 14 distinct phases of production: 14 separate craftsmen make their mark on a piece of wood until it reaches its perfected form in the showrooms of Hrachya Ohanyan - a distinguished visual and qualitative experience for those who appreciate true wood artistry.

A Gift That Lasts Generations

A handmade chess and backgammon set is a gift that never expires - for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or under the Christmas tree. Solid wood, master craftsmanship and the classic design: it will be played, displayed and passed on.
