Luxury Wooden Chess & Backgammon Table Carved 27.6" | 70 cm

Luxury Wooden Chess & Backgammon Table Carved - by Hrachya Ohanyan

An exclusive model from the Hrachya Ohanyan workshop: a luxury chess table that hides a full backgammon field inside. Deep floral relief frames the two-tone chessboard on top; slide the halves apart on their steel runners and the backgammon field appears beneath - points and twin rosettes hand-carved from one piece of beech. Basket-weave panels cover the apron and the knees of the cabriole legs, and drawers with cast-bronze handles hold the pieces.

Chess on top, backgammon inside, all of it completely handcrafted and varnished - one table for both games, and the only one of its kind in the room.

About the Master - Hrachya Ohanyan

In 1985, National Master Ohanyan began his fine wood craft, introducing a new approach to the age-old traditions of woodworking. After many years of dedication, the Hrachya Ohanyan workshop was established in 2010. The workshop creates classic and original models from high-quality raw materials - each set a work of art admired both locally and internationally.

14 Levels, Up to 200 Days

Every model passes through 14 distinct phases of production: 14 separate craftsmen make their mark on a piece of wood until it reaches its perfected form in the showrooms of Hrachya Ohanyan - a distinguished visual and qualitative experience for those who appreciate true wood artistry.
