Luxury Russian Coat of Arms Walnut Backgammon Set, Contour Outline by Hrachya Ohanyan
Russia's double-headed eagle — three crowns, orb and sceptre, St George on the breast — carved on a roundel of white, blue and red epoxy in a lattice lid with a scalloped contour edge. This is the 60 cm / 23.6″ luxury walnut backgammon set made by Hrachya Ohanyan, with 32 checkers, dice cut from billiard balls and a branded carrying case.
This is the board for the Moscow office, the embassy gift, and the player who wants the tricolour on the table without a flag on the wall. The eagle is cut feather by feather and left the colour of the walnut, so it stands warm against the flag's three bands; the lattice around the roundel is faceted, and the contour edge curves in and out along all four sides.
Inside, the walnut field carries points filled with deep blue epoxy, a wheel ornament in blue epoxy on each half and the maker's stamped hinge on the bar. On the back, a chequerboard of walnut and blue epoxy squares between eternity whirls. For the collector of national boards, and the Russian friend who has everything.

Good to Know Before You Buy
Is the eagle carved or printed? Carved. The eagle and its crowns, orb and sceptre are cut into the walnut and left in the wood's own colour; the white, blue and red behind it, the points inside and the squares on the back are epoxy resin poured into carved recesses and polished flat. The lattice, rope borders and eternity whirls are carved. Nothing is printed.
What about shipping and returns? Shipping is free to the US, Canada and Europe, always tracked; other countries pay a flat $100 (Brazil, Chile and New Zealand $200). Every set is covered by our 30-day returns policy.
How do I look after it? Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth and store it closed in its carrying case.
About the Artist - Hrachya Ohanyan
National Master Hrachya Ohanyan began his fine woodcraft in 1985 and founded his workshop in Yerevan in 2010. What products do you make?
Handmade chess sets, backgammon boards and chess tables, carved by hand in Armenia.
Are your products handmade?
Yes. Every piece is handmade and handcrafted for you in Armenia, most of them in master carver Hrachya Ohanyan's workshop in Yerevan. That is why each one takes 1–2 weeks to make.
Do you ship worldwide from Armenia?
Yes. Shipping is free to the US, Canada and all of Europe; other countries pay a flat $100 for tracked delivery, and Brazil, Chile and New Zealand pay $200, always tracked and insured. Every piece is handmade and handcrafted for you, so it takes 1–2 weeks to make. Delivery then takes about 7–9 business days to the US, Canada, Europe and the UK; other regions may take a little longer. Orders over $600 travel by express courier with signature. Tables go by insured furniture freight and arrive about 2–4 weeks after they are finished.
Will I pay customs duties?
US and EU orders are delivered duties paid, so there is nothing more to pay on arrival. For other countries, import fees depend on local rules; write to us and we will help you estimate them.
What is your return policy?
You can return any order within 30 days of delivery, for any reason, worldwide. Faulty or damaged items return free; for change-of-mind returns the item must be unused in its original packaging and you cover return shipping. EU and UK customers also keep their full statutory rights, including a 14-day withdrawal right.

What materials do you use?
Mostly solid beech and walnut, carved by hand. Some boards add epoxy resin, amber stones or bronze details; each product page lists its own materials.
