Moscow Wooden Chess Set & Backgammon By Hrachya Ohanyan

This wooden chess & backgammon set is a tribute to one of the world's most iconic cities. The Moscow skyline — cathedrals, spires and all — is engraved across the top of the board, with "MOSCOW" carved along the sides in bold, clean lettering.

The contour outline shape gives the board a distinctive silhouette, framed by hand-carved border detailing. Built from solid beech wood, finished entirely by hand.

About the Artist

In 1985, National Master Ohanyan began his fine wood craft, introducing a new approach to the age-old traditions of woodworking. After many years of dedication, Hrachya Ohanyan was established in 2010. This company creates a range of Armenian, classic and original models with high-quality raw materials. Thanks to the skill and expertise of the craftsmanship, each set produced is a work of art that garners admiration both locally and internationally.
