These aren't boards you hide away. Every carved chess set in this collection features deep wood relief carving by Hrachya Ohanyan — Armenian ornamental patterns, eternity motifs, carpet designs, and pomegranate vine work, all cut into solid wood entirely by hand.

Each piece takes significantly longer to make than a standard board because the carving is done by hand from start to finish. The result is a chess set that doubles as a statement piece — something worth displaying even when the pieces are put away.
