Luxury Armenian Coat of Arms Walnut Backgammon Set in Tricolour Epoxy by Hrachya Ohanyan
Armenia's coat of arms drawn in line over a disc of red, blue and orange resin, on pale walnut with a scrolled edge. This is the 60 cm / 23.6″ luxury wooden backgammon set made by Hrachya Ohanyan, contour outline. Handmade in walnut, resin-filled points inside, 32 checkers, dice cut from billiard balls and a branded case.
This is the board for the Armenian who wants the emblem in colour, the office that flies the tricolour, and the player who likes a lid that glows. The eagle and the lion, the quartered shield, the sword and the broken chain are cut in fine line into the pale walnut, and the disc behind them is poured in three bands of resin — red, blue, orange — so the arms sit on the flag. Around the disc, line-work lattice in a lobed cartouche and scrolled contour shoulders.
Inside, every point is a pour of rainbow resin — red, blue, green, orange — under a carved fleur-de-lys tip, the petal wheel on each half is filled the same way inside its scrolled ring, and a brass hinge stamped with the maker's mark on the bar. For the Independence Day table, the diaspora office, and the player who wants the flag on the lid and colour in every point.

Why You'll Love It
- The arms on the flag: the emblem is drawn in line and the disc behind it is poured in red, blue and orange, so it reads as the coat of arms on the tricolour from across the room.
- Colour in the board, not on it: the resin is set flush into the walnut and polished — in the disc, the points and the rings — so nothing can rub off or fade at the edges.
- Make it theirs: add a name or a date at checkout to mark a birthday, a retirement or years of games together.
Good to Know Before You Buy
Is the emblem carved or painted? Drawn in line and poured, not painted. The eagle, the lion and the shield are cut into the pale walnut in fine line work; the disc around them is filled with epoxy in the three colours of the Armenian flag, sanded level and polished. The points and the rings inside are poured in the same rainbow resin. The board is varnished; nothing is printed or applied.
What about shipping and returns? Shipping is free to the US, Canada and Europe, always tracked; other countries pay a flat $100 (Brazil, Chile and New Zealand $200). Every set is covered by our 30-day returns policy.
How do I look after it? Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth and store it closed in its carrying case.
