One great bare tree, trunk and branches in walnut, over a single round pour of sky-blue resin that runs across both covers of the board. This is the 60 cm / 23.6″ luxury wooden backgammon set made by Hrachya Ohanyan, classic outline, two-sided. Handmade in walnut, resin-filled points inside, 32 checkers, dice cut from billiard balls and a branded case.

This is the board for the room with the big window, the couple who chose the sea-blue tiles, and the player who wants a lid that is one picture. Laid flat, the tree fills a disc the width of both covers: the trunk rising from the hinge line, branches forking to twig-thin tips, every one cut from the walnut and left standing while the blue resin is poured around them and polished level. A rope-and-bead ring holds the disc, chip-carved lattice and acanthus scrolls fill the corners.

Inside, the same sky blue fills every point under a carved scroll tip and the ring and spokes of the petal wheel on each half, with leaf scrolls cut around it and a brass hinge stamped with the maker's mark on the bar. For the wedding present, the new house, and the player who wants the tree on the table and the blue under every checker.

Here one trunk and its branches are cut from the walnut and left standing over a round pour of sky-blue resin that spans both covers, sanded level and polished; the points and rings inside are poured the same way. The board is varnished; nothing is printed or painted.
