Snowflake Backgammon Set with Green Epoxy by Hrachya Ohanyan
Green resin under a pale snowflake: the eight-fold pattern stays the colour of raw beech and the ground inside the ring is filled with deep green epoxy. This is the 60 cm / 23.6″ wooden backgammon set made by Hrachya Ohanyan. Handmade in beech, with 32 wooden checkers, dice cut from billiard balls and a branded carrying case.
This is the board for someone who wants colour without paint. The green is epoxy resin set into the carved ground, so the pale snowflake sits in it like frost on a pond — an eight-petal flower, scrolls fanning out to leaf tips, every line crisp against the green. The colour returns inside, where half the points are green resin and half pale wood, and the wheel ornaments are ringed in green too. Around the ring the lid is diamond lattice in cusped panels, in a pale natural finish.
Open, it is the full-size game with a twist: pale points and green resin points alternate down each side, fleur-de-lys tips on all of them, a wheel ornament in a scrolled ring on each half, an ornate bronze hinge on the bar. For the modern flat, the green-and-brass kitchen, and the player who wanted a traditional board that does not look traditional.

Why You'll Love It
- Colour set in, not painted on: the green is resin sitting flush in the carved ground, glass-smooth beside the raised wood.
- Green inside too: the resin points and the ringed wheel ornaments carry the colour onto the playing side — open or closed, it is one design.
- Make it theirs: add a name or a date at checkout to mark a birthday, a retirement or years of games together.
Good to Know Before You Buy
Is the carving real? Yes. The snowflake, the lattice and the ring are carved into the beech, and the green is epoxy resin set into the lowered ground around the pattern and into the points inside. The wood is left pale and varnished. Nothing is printed.
What about shipping and returns? Shipping is free to the US, Canada and Europe, always tracked; other countries pay a flat $100 (Brazil, Chile and New Zealand $200). Every set is covered by our 30-day returns policy.
How do I look after it? Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth and store it closed in its carrying case.
