Frequently asked questions

Are these chess sets really handmade?

Yes — every chess set is hand-carved in Armenia by master artisan Hrachya Ohanyan from solid wood, using traditional woodworking techniques. No two boards are identical.
What wood are the chess boards made from?

Solid walnut and beech. The boards are carved, assembled, and finished by hand for a quality that mass-produced sets cannot match.
What sizes are available?

Boards range from about 30 cm up to 60 cm depending on the design — check each product page for the exact dimensions.
Are chess pieces included?

Most sets include matching pieces — see the individual product page for exactly what is included with each board.
Do you ship worldwide?

Yes, every order ships worldwide, packed carefully to protect the board and pieces in transit.
